SISKOS PLACE

STORY

"SiskosPlace" was built in 2000 by Petros Siskos, a civil engineer, and his 2 sons Alexandros and Elias. The Place was for many years a relaxation destination for the family and friends. In 2015 Alexandros decided to settle in Santorini and open SiskosPlace to guests.

The furniture is collected over the years mainly from Santorini or made to order locally. The decoration includes a variety of art pieces, ceramics, paintings, icons and book collections.

The architecture is strictly Cycladic. All premises are exclusively made out of natural local materials and designed with traditional Cycladic bioclimatic principles so as to provide for coolness during summer without the need for artificial means.

Die meisten Menschen haben eine sehr genaue Vorstellung davon, wie Urlaub auf Santorini aussehen wird. Nun, in Siskos Place, was man bekommt, ist ganz anders. Es ist sehr leicht zu erkennen, die Anlage wurde nicht für den Tourismus gebaut. Das sind Privatimmobilien gewesen, nichts luxuriöses aber voll in traditionellem Zykladischen Styl. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich, mit Pool (shared), in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Strand (zu Fuß). Das Herz der Anlage ist Alexis, ein "rock" Kerl, der das Leben zu genießen weiß und sich sehr davon freut, die Art des Genießens anderen zu zeigen. Den herrlichen Blick auf den Nachthimmel werden wir nie vergessen.
